How the massacre was carried out
They used a variety of weapons including these; Intratec TEC-DC9, High Point 995
Carbine, Savage 67H pump action shotgun, Stevens 311D double barreled sawed-off
shotgun, 99 explosives, and 4 knives. They used all of these lethal weapons to
do as much damage to their school as possible to get revenge on all the faculty
and staff and students in the school. Dylan and Eric had planned a bombing on
the school but the bombs did not go off, and it ended up being a shooting. In
Slate magezines, it states that a bomb was planted in the cafeteria and if the
bomb would have been wired correctly, the bomb would have killed about 600
students alone. After the shooting was complete, Klebold and Harris both killed
themselves. Being bullied wasn't the only motive for the shooting, the 2 were different individuals, and suffered opposite mental conditions, they were both hotheaded, but also very depressive and suicidal, they blamed themselves for their mental problems. This was another reason for the Columbine shooting.

Columbine Timeline
On April 20, 1999, the Columbine massacre sent unparalleled chills through America. It had been 33 years
since the nation saw such a brutal school shooting, at the University of Texas. Yet decades later, Eric
Harris and Dylan Klebold's massacre turned Columbine into a national symbol for tragedy, school safety, and the gun control debate.
1996: Eric Harris creates his own website on America Online, with help from his friend, Dylan Klebold. Over the next two years, Harris posts threats against students and teachers at Columbine High School.
Jan. 30, 1998: Harris and Klebold are arrested for stealing
tools from a van in Littleton, Colo. They are put in a diversion program for only a month.
December 1998: Columbine student Robyn Anderson buys two
12-gauge shotguns and a 9 mm rifle at the Tanner Gun Show for Harris and
Klebold. Sometime later, they purchase another 9 mm firearm, from Mark Manes and Philip
Duran.
April 20, 1999 - 11:10 a.m. Mountain Time: Harris
and Klebold arrive at the school, and set up a homemade fire bomb a half mile
away as a diversion, yet it only partly blows up.
11:14 a.m.: Harris and Klebold place duffel bags with two
propane bombs in the school cafeteria. The two planned to shoot students running
out after the explosions, but the bombs did not go off as planned.
11:19 a.m.: Harris and Klebold start shooting students at a
grassy knoll next to the school's West Entrance. In this initial assault, three
people are killed while nine are wounded.
11:24 a.m.: Harris exchanges gunfire with Columbine's community resource officer, Deputy Neil
Gardner, before he joins Klebold inside the building. The two randomly fire
their weapons on their way to the school
library, where 52 students, two teachers and two librarians were hiding
under desks.
11:29 a.m.: The second stage of the rampage has Harris and
Klebold kill ten more people and injure 12 more in the next 13 minutes, before
finally leaving the library.
11:44 a.m.: The shooters return to the cafeteria, and try to
detonate their propane bombs, yet they only partially detonate one.
12:02 p.m.: The shooters go back into the library, just as
SWAT teams surround the school.
12:08 p.m.: Harris and Klebold both commit suicide.
1:09 p.m.: Two SWAT teams finally enter the school, finding
students and teachers hiding in each classroom.
3:30 p.m.: Police finally enter the library and find Harris
and Klebold's bodies.
May 1, 1999: The NRA controversially holds its annual convention in
Denver despite criticism over the timing and the site.
July 1999: The FBI holds
a major summit on school
shootings in Leesburg, Va.
April 20, 2004:
Psychiatrists from the FBI summit share their conclusions
with the public, stating that "clinical psychopath" Harris was the mastermind of
the massacre, while Klebold was a "depressive" follower. They conclude that they
both planned Columbine for a long time and were motivated
by wanting to cause terror - and not by bullying, school, music or video
games.
